The exciting board game of tactical starship combat set in the wild and wacky Weird Worlds universe!
The alien flotilla fills your view-screen; a whole mess o' fighters and three large capital ships bearing down on your position! With their shields up and weapons armed you sense that this isn't the neighborhood welcoming committee bringing tea and cookies. Suddenly, klaxons blare as your scanners indicate the trouble coming your way.
WHAM!!! The ship shudders from the long range missile hit. Definitely not tea and cookies! Smoke fills the bridge as the blood red glow of emergency lighting kicks on. Across many parsecs the aliens engage their star drives to move in for the kill. Three against one doesn't seem like much of a fair fight.
"Alien scum," you sneer, "from Hell's heart I stab at thee!" Hands hovering over a bank of large red buttons all labeled 'boom' you anxiously await your foe's fleet to move into weapon range. A breath later you watch the lead enemy ship do so. You shout with savage glee:
"EAT ELECTRIC DEATH!!!"
The emergency lights flicker briefly in time with the awesome barrage of power that is unleashed from every weapon bank on the ship. Brilliant death arcs across the black void of space and slams into the vanguard vessel, opening its hull like a cracked egg.
A millisecond later a blinding flash of light blots out the view-screen. Where once the enemy vessel glided through space now only sparkling dust dances. The two other alien ships are heavily battered and bruised, and the fighters are nowhere to be seen. Glancing at your science officer he confirms what you already thought... reactor breach.
You grin as your bridge crew cheers. In a single volley the fight just got a lot more fair.
Eat Electric Death! is the exciting board game of tactical starship combat set in the wild and wacky Weird Worlds universe (made famous in the award-winning computer game Weird Worlds: Return to Infinite Space) for two carbon-based life forms.
Players will command an array of starships from such intergalactic species as the calculating mechanical Tan Ru, the bloodthirsty savage reptilian Garthans, and the noble Zorg, masters of time and space. Annihilation is only a chit pull away as energy weapons, missiles, and even old fashioned projectiles hurdle across the map while ships maneuver for the optimum firing spot. When found shields collapse, bulkheads shatter, and sometimes even a reactor blows. For some, crews will work to repair the damage, while for others salvation is only possible through victory.
